Position: Project Manager

Location: Suffolk

Contract Duration: 12 - 24 months

Type: Contract (Outside IR35)

About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee key aspects of the Sizewell C project. This is a 24-month contract position, operating outside of IR35, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of civil and infrastructure projects valued between £10m and £15m.
  • Pre-Construction and ECI: Lead early contractor involvement (ECI) and pre-construction activities, ensuring thorough planning and risk management.
  • Self-Delivery: Manage self-delivery aspects of the project, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory bodies, and community groups.
  • Budget & Schedule Management: Maintain strict control over project budgets and timelines, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Quality & Safety: Uphold high standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience managing civil and infrastructure projects with a value between £10m and £15m.
  • Pre-Construction and ECI: Demonstrated expertise in pre-construction and early contractor involvement.
  • Self-Delivery: Strong background in self-delivery of construction projects.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to large infrastructure projects.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable but not essential.
  • Right to work in the UK.
