Planner - Construction Consultancy

Interim Project Planner (P6) required to support a large infrastructure project in the East Midlands. The project is still in development phase and construction is expected to start in March 2025. The construction value is expected to be around £150M.


£450 per day, indicative determination of outside IR35. Contract duration anticipated to be 9 months.


The position will be a combination of remote/home, office and project office working.


Working as part of a team of Project Management, PMO and Cost professionals, you will be supporting by providing high level planning service for the preparation of project/construction plans in P6, producing baseline scheduled tasks, resource profiles and financial models.


To be considered for this position you will:

• Have demonstrable experience of working on CAPEX, heavy civil projects in the infrastructure (Highways / Rail / Energy / Water / Marine / Ports) sector for either a Tier One Main Contractor OR a client-side consultancy
• Have excellent working knowledge of Primavera P6
• Have a good understanding of the NEC form of contract, and the schedule / programme requirements within it
• Have a Construction related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent).
• Be able to produce a fully cost and labour resourced programme from first principals
• Have the gravitas to challenge supply chain provided programmes
