Job description
We are working with a privately owned civil construction contractor, with a current headcount of around 240 and a projected annual revenue of €180M.
They are recruiting a Construction Manager / Package Manager / Sub-Agent to support a recently secured project located in Holland, with a construction value of €115M. As the Principal Contractor, they are responsible for delivering the civil, structural, core, and envelope works. They are collaborating with a well-known international technology company.
This is a great time to join a smaller contractor with ambitious growth plans for their European business. Your contributions will be recognized and valued, and you will be known by name, not just a payroll number.
As part of the site team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the structural steel and cladding packages.

- Participating in tender, preconstruction, and construction as required
- Having a complete understanding of all project objectives
- Building, developing, supporting, and maintaining the team
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the client and all external parties
- Monitoring progress with up-to-date programs so that clear and timely direction can be provided to the team regarding critical construction and financial targets
- Developing the Tender Programme into a construction programme
- Managing and maintaining the Site Management Plan
- Identifying and evaluating risks, determining and managing actions, and maintaining the Risk Register
- Managing and controlling changes to scope, requirements, and personnel
- Monitoring progress against cost plans, programs, and quality/environmental plans
- Managing stakeholder engagement
- Developing and nurturing subcontractor relationships
- Managing design process
To succeed in this role, you will most likely:
- Hold a relevant degree qualification in civil engineering or construction
- Have a background in operational roles, such as Site Engineer, along with demonstrable experience managing subcontractors in structural steel and cladding works
- Have the right to work in the Netherlands OR be willing to work on a rotation (17-4)
