Job description
Mechanical Project Engineer
£350/day CIS / Ltd, 6 month initial contract
A large scale tunnel refurbishment programme has been underway at Heathrow since late 2020.
Our client is an MEP subcontractor who have been delivering the installation works due for completion and final handover in March 2025.
We need an additional mechanical project engineer to take a section of works focused on sump pumps and drainage and help integrate the system with the rest of the tunnel infrastructure.
The mechanical project engineer will ideally have experience in a tunneling environment or at least large scale civil engineering projects with extensive drainage systems.
You will look after RAMS, subcontract package management, commissioning and handover for this section.
Although an initial 6 month role, there is approximately £900M of sped on the Heathrow campus by the end of 2027, so opportunities to migrate to other projects will be presented.
