Mechanical Estimator
Central London (4 days office / 1 day WFH)
£60,000 – £75,000 + Package
Are you an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking to join a well-established and forward-thinking M&E contractor? This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a dynamic preconstruction team, working on high-profile projects across London.
The Role
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for competitive bids. You will contribute to the evaluation of project risks and commercial opportunities across both new and existing tenders, ensuring that each submission is commercially robust and strategically aligned.
You will take ownership of bids from ITT through to completion, ensuring they are fully prepared and ready for final review by the Preconstruction Lead/Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical cost estimates
- Assist in compiling both mechanical and electrical elements of bids in line with agreed strategy
- Evaluate project risk factors and commercial opportunities
- Consider key bid influences including logistics, programme, constructability and site constraints
- Liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the tender process
- Support the development of competitive and commercially sound tender submissions
- Ensure all bids are completed within agreed timeframes and to a high standard
About You
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E sector
- Strong understanding of building services and associated tendering processes
- Experience working on projects in London is desirable
- Commercially astute with strong analytical skills
- Able to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
