Health & Safety Manager - Part Time (Client Side)

People group are looking to Hire a Health & Safety Manager to join a major client in the North
Responsible for implementing the health and safety policy, with specific focus onsite activities planning and delivery.
Rate: £300 Outside IR35
Location: Manchester to Liverpool
Start date: ASAP
Working Arrangements: Part Time - 2 Days a week
Duration: 3 months
Responsibilities:
To be successful in this position, you will:

Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive Health and Safety culture on site
- Lead and promote continuous improvement in relation to all health, safety and environmental work practices on the site
- Communicate with local authorities and any other external bodies relating to EHS
- Identify areas of risk and develop risk assessments/measures to reduce and control
- Monitor EHS compliance on site and to generate weekly inspections & reports
- Host and lead safety meetings
- Influence and coach site team in the implementation of best practice EHS standards
- Advising and assisting site management in drafting, reviewing and communicating Method Statements, Safe Plans of Action and Toolbox Talks
- Manage training and compliance files
- Provide advice, guidance and instruction in all health & safety matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including sub-contractors where appropriate)
- Conduct regular inspections and site audits, reporting findings to site and senior company management.
- Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded and investigated and that suitable notification is given
- Compile incident investigation reports
- Compile relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and preparing for handover to the Client at the end of the project
- Promote the Company mission of being a healthy and incident and injury free workplace
To be successful in this position, you will:
- Hold a relevant EHS Qualification (NEBOSH Construction and/or IOSH)
- Have demonstrable experience in a similar EHS role
- Have experience working with a client side
- Have excellent IT skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite
- A full, clean driving licence is required
