An agile, mid tier professional project services consultancy is positioning itself for their next phase of expansion. The Aviation sector has been identified as a key strategic growth area. With global aviation investment accelerating and major infrastructure programmes underway, they see a significant opportunity to build a market leading advisory capability.
To support this ambition, they are seeking an exceptional Head of Aviation to establish, shape and lead their aviation advisory business across the UK, Europe and potentially the US. You will play a pivotal role in developing market presence, securing high value opportunities, and delivering outstanding advisory services across their core disciplines — PMO, Cost Management, and Project & Programme Leadership.

What will you be doing?
- Develop and grow client relationships to become a trusted strategic advisor. Establish them as the ‘go-to’ consultancy in the aviation sector
- Lead, recruit and develop a high performing team, ensuring capability aligns with market opportunities and client demand
- Create and execute the aviation advisory strategy: identify target markets, define the service offering, shape business plans, and manage annual P&L performance
- Oversee and deliver project services across PMO, project management and cost management, ensuring excellence in quality, insight and client outcomes
- Provide expert strategic guidance, analysis and thought leadership on aviation projects in the UK and internationally
- Drive business development, using your industry network to secure new opportunities and build long-term partnerships
What do you need?
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, plus membership of a recognised professional body (APM or RICS preferred)
- Strong industry network and deep experience within the Aviation sector
- Proven background in project management, cost management or PMO delivery
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex aviation projects
- A well developed client and stakeholder network, with a track record of winning and delivering advisory projects
