Job Title: General Foreman - Highway Drainage Works (Nights)

Location: Major Highway Project Site

Duration: 8-16 Weeks

Working Hours: Night Shifts

Pay Rate: Competitive, with Night Shift Uplift (CIS or Outside IR35)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated General Foreman to oversee drainage works on a major highway project. This is a night shift position, requiring a committed individual with a strong background in civil engineering and proven experience managing subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Coordination: Direct and manage on-site activities of subcontractors to ensure efficient execution of drainage works.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all drainage works meet required standards and specifications.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Project Monitoring: Track progress against the project schedule, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Reporting: Maintain detailed records and report on daily activities, progress, and any issues encountered.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any on-site issues, coordinating with project management and subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Essential:
    • Extensive experience as a General Foreman, particularly in drainage works and large-scale highway projects.
    • Proven ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
    • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a construction environment.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Desirable:
    • Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management.
    • Experience working night shifts and managing projects under tight deadlines.
