Design Manager

An exciting job opportunity for a Design & Technical Manager to work for a global Tier-one main contractor on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This will be based in Central London. 
 
What will you be doing?

This position requires a manager who is delivery and action-focused, proactive and able to work independently, can identify risks, deliver effective solutions and complete their allocated tasks to ensure delivery on time in a fast-paced demanding environment.
 
You will have the ability to understand projects, rapidly taking into account the financial and commercial context.  

It is essential that you have experience in Fit-out and refurbishment projects, as well as knowledge of RC Frames, steel frames and superstructures. You will also need to have knowledge and working experience of using Asite or similar information platforms for comments, statusing and managing design information. A successful candidate will demonstrate that they can manage the design production for trade packages from tender to record drawings and manage third-party approval process.

For this post you will need excellent problem solving, communication and analytical skills. Project management skills and a high level of computer literacy will also be required. Experience of unitised façade construction and BIM is an advantage.
