Role: Contracts Manager
Location: Surrey

We are currently in the process of hiring a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to assist in executing contracts efficiently, on time and in compliance with company policies and regulations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in contract management within a relevant sector and possess excellent negotiation and communication skills. They will be working on the contractual aspects of multiple projects for a leading construction firm committed to delivering high-quality projects on behalf of one of our longest-tenured public sector clients in Surrey.
 
You will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager/Project Director and working very closely with all members of staff on the project. The role has a base salary range of up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. The available package also includes a car allowance of up to £6000. 
 
As a Contracts Manager, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts, ensuring they meet all legal, regulatory and company requirements and standards.
  • Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that all contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks related to contracts and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Address and resolve any disputes or issues that arise in relation to contracts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents.
  • Monitor and report the performance of contracts, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets related to contract activities.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts.
  • Strong understanding of processes and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards.
Essential Criteria:
  • 3+ years of contract management experience within a relevant sector.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent Communication, Organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
