Job description

We are currently searching for a Construction Director based in Central London for a £500 million turnover Main Contractor. They are seeking somebody with significant refurbishment and retrofit experience, with a range of projects from £10 - £75 million. 
This role is to be based in London full time reporting directly into the company Managing Director, the business have a large amount of projects and pipeline in this area of work mostly within Commercial and due to the pipeline they need a business lead to come in and continue to grow and develop this area of work. 

The salary range is quite wide but from £150,000 - £200,000 plus a discretionary bonus, car allowance, travel, pension and 30 days holiday. 

The successful Construction Director must currently be in a similar role, working within London and have relationships with the clients and supply chain in the retrofit and refurbishment world. They must have a history of managing large teams and true history of delivering and winning projects in this sector.

This is not a business that are hiring this position due to them needing somebody to come in and bring work with them, this position has come available because this Main Contractor have secured a lot of work in this area and now need somebody to come in lead an already fully functioning team. However saying that this role will involve business development and work winning, it's part of the role. Full duties - 

* Full Responsibility for the day to day construction delivery of the projects
* Full control and responsibility for Health & Safety compliance and maintaining and exceeding the companies standards
* Planning all resource of projects including internal and external moves
* Staff training and development 
* Working alongside the Commercial Director to control the company profit and loss
* Push boundaries in environmental and sustainability targets and standards
* Develop existing client and consultant relationships
* Be part of the work winning team, leading the companies strategy

The successful candidate must have - 
* A proven track record of running a business within this sector
* Established relationships with key industry sector clients and consultants
* The willingness to continue to grow and improve
