Job Title: Construction Consultancy Country Lead (Director level) – Iberian Peninsula
Location: Madrid, Spain

Role Overview:  We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Lead to drive the development of our clients business across the Iberian Peninsula. This senior leadership role will direct and oversee all operational activities within the region, ensuring alignment to our clients strategic and growth objectives.
As a key member of the European leadership team, the Country Lead will provide operational expertise, strategic planning, and counsel to the regional teams. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and executing the business strategy in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the overall country strategy, establishing long and short-term goals.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting cycles and establish KPIs and OKDs.
  • Oversee key client relationships, including both private and public sector clients.
  • Identify and action new business opportunities, working with leadership to grow brand presence in Spain.
  • Deliver annual financial and operating targets, leveraging data and analysis for continuous improvement.
  • Manage cost effectively, ensuring budgets are met.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients, partners, and supply chains.
  • Implement robust resource planning and build a talent pipeline to meet business demands.
  • Position and market business offerings, utilising market and competitor analysis.
  • Champion strategic priorities and transformational change across the enterprise.
  • Represent the business to key stakeholders, including C-Suite executives and existing clients.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and commercial management.
  • Comprehensive operational expertise and advanced budgetary skills.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic direction and influence cohesive leadership teams.
  • Skilled in client engagement, strategic partnering, and driving operational performance.
  • Advanced communication skills, capable of engaging at C-Suite levels.
  • Strong track record in achieving business growth and profitability.
  • Expertise in the construction industry is highly desirable.
Leadership Competencies:
  • Advanced leadership capabilities with a focus on transformation and strategic execution.
  • Ability to inspire and lead transformational change within operational business areas.
  • Proven capability in building effective senior leadership teams and driving service excellence.
  • Demonstrable senior leadership/director experience with a track record of business growth.
  • Background in either construction consultancy – cost management, project management, program management or business advisory.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and strategic acumen.
  • Desirable: Degree/Post Graduate qualification in a relevant field.
