- Managing your own portfolio of projects and professional instructions
- Delivering a mix of project and professional building surveying services
- Contract administration across a range of schemes
- Producing specifications and technical reports
- Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying opportunities for further business development
Successful Chartered Building Surveyor
- MRICS qualified (essential)
- Strong experience across both professional and project work
- Solid understanding of JCT contracts
- Excellent knowledge of construction technology
- Experience in specification writing and contract administration
- Ideally exposure to sectors such as social housing (desirable)
- Highly organised, personable, and client-facing
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Additional Advantage (Not Essential)
- Experience or interest in retrofit / sustainability projects
