Job description

 Are you a building surveying looking for an opportunity in fire?
Do you have existing fire experience and what to learn more?
 
A leading and well established multi-discipline consultancy is looking to appoint a building surveyor to their London offices.
 
The role offers the opportunity to work across a varied project portfolio, with a strong focus on public sector, commercial and fire remediation/cladding projects. Work is predominately based in Zone 1 & 2.

The Role
You’ll be involved in delivering projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, contractors and wider project teams.
 
  • Project management and contract administration
  • Building surveys, defect diagnosis and technical reporting
  • Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
  • Managing refurbishment and remediation projects
  • Supporting fire remediation and cladding programmes
  • Managing contractors, budgets, programmes and risk
  • Building strong relationships with public sector and commercial clients
  • Supporting the wider Building Surveying team and contributing to business growth
 
About You
We’re looking for a project-focused Building Surveyor with proven experience delivering refurbishment, remediation or construction projects.
 
  • BSc in Building Surveying
  • MRICS or MCIOB qualified, or actively working towards either accreditation
  • Experienced in project delivery and Contract Administration
  • Confident working directly with clients and contractors
  • Technically strong with good commercial awareness
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects
  • A strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively

Experience across public sector, commercial property, fire remediation or cladding would be particularly advantageous.
