A leading clean energy developer, back by one of the world’s largest Private Equity funds, is recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.


This position will provide you with a steep and rewarding learning curve along with exposure to the FULL lifecycle of a project, working from funding stage to brining the asset into operation. They keep everything in house meaning they act as a client, consultant, contractor, and operator. This model is wholly unique.


They are big on learning and development, and you will be fully supported through formal training routes if you are keen to secure Chartership.


You will support with the development and construction of some of the UK’s largest Energy Storage, H2 ready Power Plants and Green Hydrogen Electrolysis Assets. Some of these projects will be upwards of £3bn a pop. Scope will involve the installation of high value equipment, M&E, and heavy civils.

There will be some travel involved and the occasional overnight stay, all of which will be paid for.


Duties will include:
  • Preparing cost estimates, tender documents, and contracts
  • Managing the procurement process
  • Monitoring project costs.
  • Preparing and administering various contract forms
  • Assisting with the assessment of Compensation Events
  • Project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget


To be successful in this position, it is likely that you have:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Contract Management experience with either the NEC3 or NEC4
  • Have a couple of years of experience gained with either a Principal Contractor, Cost Consultancy or End Client


On offer is a salary of between 30,000 – 38,000 per annum dependant on experience and a benefits package including pension, private medical, 26 day’s annual holiday and a HYBRID working contract.
