Job description

We are working with a privately owned Civil Construction Contractor, with a current headcount of around 240 and projected annual revenue of 180M.

They are recruiting for an Assistant Planner to support on a recently secured project located in Holland. The project is valued at around €100M. Working as the Principal Contractor they are responsible for delivering scope to include groundworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, utility corridors, pile caps, hard landscaping, superstructure and envelope.

This position would suit someone with a couple of years of site based engineering experience who is looking to break into a planning position. You will be closely mentored, coached, and developed. This role offers you a clear career path to Project Planner and beyond, along with the opportunity to travel and work throughout Europe.

Key responsibilities:
  • Gather data on-site in order to update programmes for live projects
  • Collate & validate project progress reports
  • Produce weekly work plans and update contract programmes
  • Contribute to the development of the team
  • Develop relationships with internal teams, consultants, clients and suppliers

To be successful in this role, it is likely that you:
  • Hold a relevant degree qualification in engineering or construction
  • Have a background in a site based operational role, for example a Site Engineer, and a desire to become a Planner
  • Ideally you will hold a passport that gives you full working rights across the EU, but please note that this is not essential. Visa's can be procured if you're the right person for the role.

On offer is a salary of between €35,000 - €40,000 per annum, with a comprehensive benefits package which includes accommodation, access to a vehicle, pension contribution, holiday, and a monthly subsistence allowance
