Position: Assistant Commercial Manager / Assistant Quantity Surveyor - NEC 4
Rate: £240 (Indicative Outside IR35)
Location: Birmingham
Start date: ASAP
Contract Duration: March 2025
Working Arrangements: Hybrid 3 days office/Site & 2 days home
People Group are looking to recruit a Assistant Commercial Manager from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company.

People Group are looking to recruit a Assistant Commercial Manager from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company.
Everyday responsibilities will include:
- Assist in preparing subcontract enquiries / quotation comparisons and subcontract documents.
- Participate in recording of and payment for subcontract work, including processing of subcontract payments.
- Assist in cost monitoring of site resources and undertake costing activities.
- Assist in valuation of changes to work scope.
- Measure completed works for interim and final accounts.
To be suitable for this role, you will need:
- Relevant qualification (Degree, HNC/D)
- Good communication and IT skills.
- Experience working Client side, Preferably Network Rail or Train Operating Company
- NEC 3/4 contract experience favourable
- They need a proactive individual that will challenge the programme / support CE challenges.
