Contract or Temp to Perm/Perm considered
  • Oversees the month-end close process for the sub-ledgers, ensuring all sub-ledger teams comply with the established timetable. Ensures that reports are generated for any unaccounted or accounted transactions that haven't been transferred, and addresses errors or other issues (including reconciliation of projects to the general ledger). Monitors error reports and resolves daily issues to ensure month-end processes are not affected. Manages the chart of accounts (COA), including updates, changes, opening, and closing of accounts, as well as overseeing all general ledger (GL) month-end close activities and related requirements. Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle GL and supports ongoing system improvements.
  • Leads the intercompany team to ensure proper reconciliation of balances at each month-end. Regularly analyzes intercompany transactions and manages the repatriation of cash to the group through intercompany clearances.
  • Maintains the Chart of Accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for any updates or changes. Ensures necessary updates are implemented across the business and considers wider impacts, such as effects on expenditure types and purchasing categories.
  • Oversees payroll reconciliation processes and supervises the finance assistant responsible for payroll postings.
  • Analyzes the sweep report to ensure transactions are cleared in the subsequent month, preventing legacy rollovers.
  • Manages the month-end create accounting process to ensure all transactions are processed and transferred to the GL. Runs reconciliation reports and checks the GL dashboard for unposted items.
  • Oversees and maintains all period exchange rates, ensuring the spot rate for the final day of the prior month is updated and the rate for the new month is incorporated.
  • Manages fixed asset registers, prepares depreciation schedules, and ensures the timely capitalization of work-in-progress (WIP).
  • Oversees the currency revaluation process to ensure FX revaluation for unrealized gains and losses is completed.
  • Manages and coordinates all general ledger reporting requirements.
  • Identifies and escalates issues to the relevant teams for resolution in the following month.
  • Manages both the month-end close and opening processes for the general ledger.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the finance team, fostering effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides support during the year-end audit.
  • Collaborates towards the common goal of achieving a net-zero carbon transition and shares responsibility for identifying and managing carbon emissions and reductions in the course of work.
